As the world reels from the effects of coronavirus, domestic manufacturing has become more important than ever.
With more people spending more time at home and avoiding crowded stores and shopping malls, delivery businesses are booming. Companies like Amazon, Wal-Mart, Target, and other retailers are seeing a surge in their home deliveries. This means that they are hiring more staff to accommodate these changes. Their products have to come from somewhere, too, and with international trade slowing down as borders remain tightly controlled, domestic manufacturing is on the rise. What does this mean for the American worker? At Labor Solutions, we have noticed quite an uptick in the number of manufacturing and warehouse jobs available.
Who’s Hiring?
If you have warehouse, delivery, or manufacturing experience already, now is your time to shine! If not, this could be your new career. Labor Solutions has lots of jobs available on our job board in these fields. If you have any special certifications, such as a Class A CDL or forklift certification, that’s even better. Take a look at the Labor Solutions job board to see what positions you may be qualified for.
We are looking for individuals to fill a number of positions in these capacities. Some companies are looking for delivery drivers who can help customers by installing and demonstrating merchandise in their homes. There are also companies that need merchandise delivered and unloaded to retailers both locally and out of state. A clean driving record will be necessary for these types of positions.
Warehouses have a variety of positions that Labor Solutions is seeking people for. Lumpers and selectors are needed for day and night shifts to unload and organize incoming shipments, and to pull products in preparation for outgoing shipment. Forklift and pallet jack operators are also in high demand.Â
