We also understand that different people have different preferences when it comes to their jobs. Some people prefer being on the phone all day while others would rather be behind the wheel. While an office job might seem like a pretty sweet gig to some, to others the idea of being stuck at a desk all day filing paperwork and making calls sounds like pure torture. Fortunately, we offer a wide variety of positions to help you find the one that is right for you.

 

Desk Jobs Aren’t for Everyone

If you need a job but dread the thought of sitting in a cubicle in front of a computer screen all day, then perhaps one of these other types of positions will appeal to you.

  • Warehouse Shipping and Receiving. Many warehouse roles are very physical. Shippers and receivers do a lot of loading and unloading of shipments as they arrive at the warehouse. Strength and stamina are required for this type of position. There may be some paperwork involved, but most of your shift you’ll be moving around.
  • Pickers and packers. Another warehouse job that will give you a workout is that of Order Picker. These folks spend their shift moving throughout the warehouse, often up and down ladders, finding the products they need to fill their orders. Packers often need to lift heavy loads. Sometimes the jobs of picker and packer are combined into one position. 
  • Machine Operators. There are many types of industrial machines that require hands-on operation, and even the best running machine will keep you busy! You may be required to follow parts through your portion of the line to make sure that everything is working properly, or to troubleshoot common problems that can hold up production.
